Dear Alumni,
Homecoming weekend is planned. We will be having a “Big Birthday Bash”. Mark your calendar now to attend Homecoming 2026: Friday, July 31st – Sunday, August 2nd.
This year for our Friday Evening Meal the menu will be Pizza, Chicken Fingers/Strips, Salad, Brownies & Cookies, & Beverage (Lemonade, Tea, or Water). The meal is free; but please indicate on the registration form how many children and adults so that we will know how many to expect. YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER BY 7/15/2026.
Come join us for our Alumni Association Business Meeting to get updates from the committees about ongoing projects. We will have a drawing for some exciting door prizes, so make sure you stay until the end of the meeting. Prizes include a 256 GB Silver Apple 11-inch I-Pad: A16 Chip and wi-fi (value $449.00), “Day of Fun – Beach Day”, cash prizes, and a mystery box. Members of the council and staff of BCH and Mills Home are not eligible to win these items. The meeting is at 5:00 pm on Saturday, August 1st.
Following the business meeting on Saturday, we will have our Alumni Dinner in the gym at 6:15 pm. The meal is being catered this year and they will be serving Chicken, Ribs, Cabbage, Green Beans, Mac & Cheese, (Salad Bar), Dinner Rolls & Beverage (Lemonade, Tea, or Water). Cupcakes will be provided by the Alumni Association. The cost is $15.00 per adult and $10.00 for children 12 and under. YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER BY 7/15/2026.
Table sponsors will be offered in honor or in memory of loved ones for our Alumni Dinner on Saturday. If you want to honor or memorialize a special loved one, please send $20.00 and include the name of the person on the form.
We have many items for sale at the registration desk; stop on by and make sure that you don’t miss out on any item. This year we have a new mug featuring “The Bell”. Remember to bring cash or your checkbook for purchases because we do not accept bankcards to keep the cost of our merchandise at a reasonable price. Also, we are continuing with the Silent Auction, so we need your donations for auction items. All items for the auction should be brought by Saturday, August 1st, and the items should have a minimum value of $10.00. The auction will close at 1:30 pm on Sunday and the bid results will be announced at 2:00 pm (pay and pick up items at this time). You will not want to miss the church service on Sunday morning, Alumna, Martha Berndt Foster, will be our speaker. Please come and support Martha. Shepherd’s Voice (Danny & Jane Brown, & Sana) will be providing the special music.
The Association is recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization with the IRS. Donations made are tax deductible. A receipt will be mailed to you for tax purposes for any monetary donation made to the Association.
Homecoming weekend is our special annual celebration to spend time with our “brothers and sisters” as we return home. WELCOME BACK ALUMNI OF MILLS HOME!
